S.F.S. Annual Report 2002-2003

Ladies and Gentlemen

It gives me great pleasure to welcome an old .student of mine, Mr.Vinod Mohota, as Chief Guest today alongwith his charming wife. Vinod was an excellent student then, he is still the same excellent person now. Presently the Director of the century old family textile RSR Mohota Mills in Hinganghat, which together with his brothers, he strives to strengthen & modernise to face upcoming competition & globalization. Vinod is a worthy sort of an illustrious father, Dr.R.D.Mohota who is an eminent personality in industrial & academic circles in Vidharba - a man versatile, from flying planes to Sherlock Holmes interests, and lecturing in Management & Business Administration. Over 25 years ago in 1975-76, when Viniod was in Class IX, Dr.Mohota organized courses for S.F S IX Class boys called Managers for the Nineties The success was such that in the Nineties many of these boys had indeed become leading Managers, a credit to Dr.Mohota far-sightedness & enterprise. We are sorry, Dr.Mohota cannot be present here today, but we are happy to give away every year at this Concert, a trophy in his name to the Best all-round student of Class X, introduced by his son Vinod, since his passing school 25 years ago. While publicly thanking the Mohotas today for these annual Trophies, we honour them by once again warmly welcoming Mr. & Mrs Mohota as Chief Guests today for our Annual Concert, this year by the Primary, & our Prize-Distribution ceremony.
